My UV-A bulb recently burnt out. It was my first bulb so I got the turtle-specific bulb from zoo-med.


This time around I bought a Noma Halogen Floodlight Bulb (75W) from the hardware store. Is this ok?

Any UVA bulb is fine providing it heats the basking area to the desired temps. Do you have a UVB bulb as well?

Yes.

But I didn't know if this is a uva bulb. I'm assuming all halogens are uva then?

I use a 50Watt GE Halogen flood bulb for a basking light.
