Damn....Worms

So about 2 years ago we got these little brownish worms in our tank that we got rid of through an intensive cleaning expedition. We got them again and again got rid of them, but I still don't know what they are.
They were very tiny 1/4 inch long, and brown. Any guesses? Our turtles act and seem normal, no sign of illness.

It's usually midge larvae / bloodworms. Maybe set a couple aside and see what happens. This is a high-res image...

They are not considered harmful, but most people don't want them or any other type of pests in their tank. Feeder fish might have an interest in them.

Okay I'll try that out. Its just I have no clue where they came from. We feed the turtles in a seperate area and don't introduce anything new to tank. And I agree, no one wants little worms in their tank. They are gross looking.

They are actually a good sign as they only can live in high quality water so you know your water quality is good haha.

I'm surprised the turtle hasn't eaten them.

They are so small, i dont think the turtle notices them at all.
