Dry Shell

My baby RES Yoshi is recovering from RI and he seems to be getting much better. Although today when I saw him basking his whole shell looked really dry and rough. I've never seen this before when he basks. Is it normal? I heard it might just be hard water but I'm not sure. Does anyone know what it is? :(

It looks like he's shedding. They usually don't shed that much when they're young, so I'd keep a careful eye on it.

I took him out for an injection and not even 5 minutes of being under the UVB lamp his shell dried up like in the pictures below. What should I be looking out for?
Please and thanks

Just keep any out for anything unusual. The scutes underneath the ones that have shed should look normal.
