Looking to rehome 2 RES for my parents - Western NYS
Posted: Tue Jul 01, 2014 5:42 pmMy parents are in their 70s and are struggling to keep up with their two RES. I have contacted the local shelter (where we got them) and they have no room and said they would just euthanize them (something we are hoping to avoid). I was also told they would not survive the winter and if they did survive they could negatively affect the other turtle population, so we are kind of stuck. My current living situation doesn't allow for them to go with me, otherwise they would have gone months ago.
The tank has algae, there is no proper lighting. We had 2 canister filters and only one is running...barely. Please help!!
