So i bought plants from my pet store and little did i know it had like a little bunch of duckweed so i took it out and went to bed fast forward 3 days and it has EXPLODED all over the tank!!! I guess i missed some because i thought i took it all out but i guess i didnt
So now my turtle is frolicking in it and eating like its an "all you can eat buffet" while im over here freaking out cause i dont know if it will harm him.
And i also heard once you get duckweed it will never leave you!! Curse you pet store!!!

You should be able to find plenty of takers on craigslist. If your turtle is eating too much (non-stop), then I'd take it out.

lolol Kinda funny how you expressed the duck weed in your posting, the turtle buffet and of course the pet store but Steve is right on how to resolve it below.

i mean she still eats her lettuce and pellets with veggies but i mean come on what is she doing with all this duckweed like is her stomach an endless pit??? i am really shocked but at the same time amused. looking at her right now. duckweed all over her shell while she is basking LOL!

hahahaha on the duckweed all over her while basking. The turtle fashion police will come to arrest her lol. It is a favorite natural food in the wild and in duck weed wild snails like to inhabit so it is understandable in which the turtles will add to their turtle buffet. I have 4 golden snails which are a bit to large for my albinos and hybino to eat yet it is comical seeing them try to get to the snails. Kinda a tease for them but now these snails have copulated so they will have baby snail snacks periodically soon enough.
