New Turtle

in my class we have a red ear slider and i have to take it home ovr the summer its mayb an inch long and an inch wide. How large should the tank be and do any of you have any feeding suggestions or other comments? :twisted:

Also how should i arrange the tank and how deep should the water be?

How large is the turtle (shell length not including the curve). A general guideline is to have 10 gallons of tank/container per inch of shell length.

Read some of the info on the site---it will tell you more of what you want to know. There's also lists of foods to feed, etc.

Carrots are ok in moderation, they should be part of a balanced diet. See your post that I responded to in the feeding section.
