hey guys hmm i just made a new 30 gl setup

and the turtles, fishes and the one crab have been in the new setup for about 3 hrs at this time

when i came home i saw tat all the fish were dead and i thought my turtles and a little kiling spree but i noticed that the fish werent all clawed at.

and i was watching the tank right now and the last live fish just started to dead.

should i be worried?

Fish are more susceptible to water changes. Did you let the water cycle before putting them in? This is something you have to do for fish but not for your turtles. Did you use a dechlorinator for the water? If not, this could be another reason the fish died.

Buying some kits and testing the water for substances like ammonia, nitrites and nitrates as well as the ph level give you an indication of the water quality. Also, what's the water temp?

How many turtles and fish did you put in there?

i had about a dozen fish and 2 hatchlings. o and a crab

i going to go run to the store and get a kit right now the water temp is at 78 and regulated. i think its prolly the clorine

are the turtles going to be ok

I know I have had my turtles for over 6 months and I never use anything on the water, they are fine with regular water. But fish are a different story. I can't keep them alive for anything!!! lol

I want a crab too...:p The turtles don't eat them?

The chlorine can irritate your turtles eyes. Do you notice him rubbing his eyes?

yup the crabs are ok the red claw crabs that is actually either i didnt notice when the turtle attack it or when i bought the crab it had one leg missing.

Other then that i think the turtles are more affraid of it then the crabs of them haha
