Posted: Fri Jun 30, 2006 1:22 amit's a possibility. Make sure that the water stays very clean and watch for any sign of infection. If she is picking at it, then it could be irritated and bothering her.

Posted: Fri Jun 30, 2006 9:06 amSounds like she caught her claw on something and ripped it out. Tell your friend to check the tank to see if there's anything she could catch herself on and if so, remove it from the tank.
If nothing else is wrong, tell her to apply some neosporin to the wound and dry dock her for 20 min or so each time to let it soak in. With mine I did that twice a day. If there is no bleeding she'll be fine.

Posted: Fri Jun 30, 2006 12:23 pmNot sure if this is applicable, but my male RES would bite his paw when he's shedding skin there. He does it for a short while and never hard enough to hurt himself.
