weird mouth behavior

since about the first day i have gotten them, (i have had them for a year)
they have been closing andopening there mouths in the water
ex:
when they stop to rest at the btttom of the tank, they sometimes might open their mouths a llittle and then close them repeatedly until they start swimming again
its only a slight gesture sometimes you cant catch it.
but i wanted to know if there was something wrong.
