Brightness of lights

I have had this question burning in the back of my brain for some time now. Does the brightness of the lights, especially being so close to the turtle, bother their eyes? Like us humans are bothered and it kind of hurts our eyes to look at the bulbs? Just curious. Thanks!

Turtles live outside in bright sun, so I don't think their eyes are as sensitive as ours. They probably don't look into the bulbs that much anyway.

Most bulbs mention on the package how close the bulb should be. If those instructions are followed, then it shouldn't be a problem.
