What kind of light should I use that holds a bulb? Right now I am using a light that you place on top of the screen. I am just wondering if this kind of light will get the water warm. Do I need to buy the light that clips on the side of the tank and do I need a lid on the tank? Let me know anyone out there what is best to use.

The point of a heat light isn't to warm the water, but to warm the basking area. Either light will do, although one that attaches to the side of the tank has more flexibility for adjustment of temperature.

To heat the water you need to get a heater.

How big is your turtle? 10 gallons tanks don't last very long, my guess is that it is too small already. Heaters are based on the amount of gallons of water that you have. I would hate for you to buy a heater and then have to upgrade again real soon. You also need to fill up that tank as much as you can. RES are aquatic turtles.

The turtle is an inch and three quarters. I have 2 inches of water in the tank.

At an inch and three quaters, your turtle should have at least a 20 gallon tank. Rule of thumb is 10 gallons of water per inch of shell. If you need a temporary solution to needing a set up that big, you can use a rubbermaid container. Walmart carries heaters, although they aren't the best, they do the job. Some of the better heaters have adjustable temp settings that set to the specific temp that you want. The walmart ones just adjust to high med and low. So, you are constantly adjusting the setting. It will work fine for a small tank though. Please add more water, 2 inches is not enough. Your turtle will thank you for it.

Are you looking for a UVB light, or heat? Neither of those bulbs produce UVB, at least according to their description.

For heat, just a buy a regular lightbulb. Why spend 15 bucks on something that you can get from a regular light bulb for a buck.

When should I get a heater for my tank at how many inches of water please tell me the heater I need to get. Thanks

Amount of water is not based on inches, it's based on gallons. You need to have at least 10 gallons of water per inch of shell length. Since your turtle is almost 2 inches, you need at least 20 gallons of water...bigger is better. A heater will be based on size of tank. While you should get a heater asap, you might as well get a heater that is intended for a larger tank...whatever size you upgrade to.

1 gallon of water. I looked on a jug I have here and 1 gallon is one jug so I would need to buy in all 20 jugs of water cause each jug is 1 gallon?

how big is your tank? if it is more than 20gal then you could use the gallon jugs, but if its smaller than 20 you need to get a bigger tank
