So it consist's of a 30 gallon tub with riverrock bottom and a underwater heater, filtration, and two air stones. A repti-sun uva and uvb daytime spectum light on the water via a clamp light and a ramp connecting him to a dry basking/digging area made of reptile chips and a little plant he likes to dig under to sleep. He has a basking platform/tunnel with a repti-sun heat lamp via a clamp light and two suspended reptisun uvb florisent lamps. lemme know what you think?? I know this is far from the usuall set up you guy's see but I thought I'd get a little creative since I'm a 22 year old struggling DJ in california on a budjet.

Thank you! I wanted to give him as much of an outdoor type set up as I could in the living room of a third floor apartment!

Very cute! Where does he spend most of his time basking? Does he stay on the ramp, or does he go to the other bin?

He trots up and down the ramp all day. Some times he'll go up for a dig around or to bask. An hour or so later I'll notice he's down in the water..not as much now that I added the daylight bulb to the water area... he likes to fall asleep under the light in the water.. almost like underwater basking....but the thing doesn't produce much heat!!. I had to constantly switch him from area to area manualy, so he could learn there was two different areas and how to use the ramp... but after some practice and some treats every time he walked down.. He uses it pretty consistantly. the only down part to the ramp is.. he likes to swim behind it whenever someone enters the room.. he is still pretty easily frightened.
