are fish a risk?

I've recently added some rosy red minnows to leo's diet and he loves it. he also goes after the anacharis with some ferocity. but, i've been reading and it seems like having live fish increases the risk of internal parasites. Is this true? and it is worth having the nutrition to maybe induce parasites?

Rosies are good for a turtles diet every now and again as a treat. There is less risk of them having parasites if you buy them from a pet store.

Although I never heard of anyone having a problem with them, I've suspected the same thing. Seems that the tanks the "feeders" are kept in pet shops around here are always crowded and dirty.

Just about any live food carries the risk of parasites. Some people raise their own to lessen the chances of their turts getting them.
