If the water is deep enough for a baby turtle to dive, do they sleep in the water??
I'm new to turtles so tell me about your turtle's its eating and sleeping habits please.

Some turtles sleep completely under water, some sleep with their heads sticking out some sleep on the basking dock, it depends on the turtle.

Oh, so no matter how deep the water is, they won't drown right?? Cause I have two baby turtles and I filled up the tank as much as possible and they have a dry place to bask too. 15 gallon tank. I'm just afraid the water is too deep and they will drown at night. T_T

don't worry! fill the water as high as you can without them being able to escape, turtles will come up for air when they need to... i hear res can stay under water for as long as 1hr+ or something like that, as long as it can swim to the surface your turtle won't die!

Just make sure you give them plants or something to rest on so they don't get too tired.

My turtle has always slept underwater - even when he was a little round green guy. Every so often he'll slowly rise to the surface to sniff some air, then slowly sink back down.
