The heater I just put in my tank, I just barley touched it to see if it was hot, and it burnt my finger! If it will burn me, will it burn my turtle if he touches it? maybe its only really hot like that for a minute. Please help! :(

It won't feel as hot underwater. What kind did you get? What did you set the temperature at?

I don't remember what kind it was, but I will cheak in a minute.
and right now the temperature is 70, but it is rising. I think it's set at 77 or 78.

when the heater is underwater, you'd have to hold onto it really long before you get burnt. Even so, it takes a while and you can generally feel your hands getting hotter, i've seen plecos sit on the heater while its on and fishes stalling next to it with no problem, don't worry about it!
