Turtle entertainment ideas!?

Does anybody know any entertainment ideas for turtles. I have two red eared sliders, just put some guppies in the water, and they seemed pretty entertained for a while, but is there any way to entertain your turtles that do not have anything to do with food. I was thinking maybe create a little fun area for them with an area to climb up on for excersize made out of stretched cloth. I use to place my past turtles on the couch and watch them climb up the back of it, they are really good climbers, but I'm not sure if they enjoyed it very much, though they did it on their own. If anybody has any ideas, or suggestions for a fun area, (probably going to use a kiddy pool for it) let me know.

Some people have used pingpong balls and mirrors. Others haven't had any success with this either.
I'm not sure I would continue to let them climb the back of the couch. If one of them falls, it could cause injuries.
Guppies are good fun, they can chase, eat and exercise all in one!

I agree about the climbing on the couch, I'd be afraid they'd hurt their nails. You can always add some river rocks or other decorations for them to "decorate" with.

I put a pingpong ball in mine, but it didn't work as well as i wanted. Go for guppies, great way for them to exercise.

when you put guppies in your tank, how do you feed them? my turtles are to small for them, but i can feed them brine shrip... THe only thing is a guppy gives them something to chase. But do i just get fish food for them? Just because as of now my turtles are too small to eat them

Some people don't even feed their feeder guppies. They will eat the waste that is in the tank. I on the other hand, feed mine. I feel bad for them. Just plain old flake food will do.

I have some brave rosie reds- and they'll just eat off of Leo's food- WHILE he's eatting! hahaha a lot of times one will get a hold of a piece of food and drag it down to the bottom and then they'll take turns nipping at it! They also like to nip off of his lettuce! I assume they're getting the food they need because whenever I feed him- I feel like I'm feeding them as well from the frenzie that occurs!

He's still a hatchling though- so his food is still little pellets (not sticks)

Take them out of the tank periodically & let them walk around with you. Be sure to keep them supervised though, especially if they are little tykes! Or you can let them walk around the bathroom with the door closed. My turt loves to explore so I let her out sometimes.

thank you guys for the reply, my smaller turtle Rocky is a monster with the guppies, I see new fish heads every day

. Oh, and my guppies had baby! Maybe I will get lucky and never have to replinish the feeder fish. About my turtles climbing, I alwasy have my hands cupped right underneath them incase they fall, but i'll stop anyway, sure its not too fun for them. What does ping pong balls and mirrors do for the tykes? lol.
