how much uv?
Posted: Mon Jan 01, 2007 11:56 pmhi, i have a turtle about 2 inchs, its been about 8 months and im thinking i need a new tube strip. should i buy a 2.0 5.0 or 7.0 uv light? and how ofter should i replace it?
The more the better (unless it's really high, which generally isn't sold at pet shops), so 7.0 UVB is best, unless your pet store has 10.0 UVB.
Replace every 6 months, starts to lose effect rapidly after that, 1 year maximum.
