Vet visits

I've never been to a vet with a pet, and I'm wondering about how much a normal vet visit, such as a check-up costs for an RES. Just so I can make sure I keep some spare change around so I could make a trip if I have to. Luckily I have a herp ver about 2 miles from my house.

If you know specifically which vet you're going to, just give them a call and ask for a quote! Usually takes no more than a few minutes. In my experience, vet visits have ranged from 30-79 for the exam, then extra for whatever other stuff is necessary. At the emergency clinic x-rays would have been 125, meds have usually been around 15. But definitiely, just call them and ask what they would charge for a turtle visit and they'll probably be more than happy to tell you!

I agree with Starchick!

Vet checkup at my vet costs $39 (that doesn't include x-rays or any meds).

Do call around. The herp vet nearest me charged $38 for a half hour visit the last time I checked (not including any extras).

But it's best to call so you don't have any nasty surprises (use the info here as a guide).
