Hello I have two 2 inch turts and im planning to upgrade but I don't really like to upgrade often, so i'm wondering if a 200 gal can be to big for 2 two inch turts.

There will be a lot of room for them to swim around and stuff. It's better to be too big and than too small. I say it's fine, just make sure they have easy access to the basking area. I wish I did that from the beginning, bc I am going to have to upgrade again soon too as the RESs get bigger.

just make sure there is not to much of a current in the water as the filters for big tanks can make them relly currenty (if that is a word)/ and make sure they are eating. i am upgrading to a 125 gallon for my turts this weekend

I have a question....When I get my turtle (whenever I get my taxes back)...I'll be getting the smallest one I can find. I have already purchased a 55 gallon aquarium. The pet store I have decided to get it from keeps good care of them, except for the fact that they only give them about 4 inches deep of water to swim in. I plan on filling my aquarium with much more water because everyone says they love to swim. My question is...do I need to increase the water slowly so it can adjust to the deeper water? Or can I just put him in the deeper water?

you can just put the water in and watch. make sure he can get to the top for air. i have 2 5 inch res. and when i moved them from a tank they could stand on the bottom to a tank they had to swim up two and a half feet they had a hell of a time. but after a bit they get the hang of it. just watch and if it seems like it is not able to make it to the top lower the water.

Why don't you go ahead and fill up the tank but put something in there that will float that the turtles can rest on and stick their heads above water when they want to breath? Something like a plastic plant might work.

I Think i shouldn't be any problem with deep waters. i have 2 res 2" inches each, in a 24" Height tank filled up to 18"inches of water. At first the deepness of the water was a big concern to me. but i realized they can handle very well there new habitat.
make sure like SpotsMama said to put something in there that will float (like a Turtle Dock) so that the turtles can rest on; and also don't fill the tank all the way to the top, cuz your little fellas will surely find a way to escape.
