pyramiding

Along my turtles back, there are tall points. I'm not sure if it's pyramiding, or if it's normal, but I figured I'd make sure, just in case. Here are some pictures:

It's normal for the vertebral scutes to be raised like that.

it's a scary condition to see in our turtles! i myself asked for pictures so i'd know what to look out for. it has been inquired about quite a bit, so i'll post the links so you know what to look out for :)
