Every time my turtle see me, they bang themselves onto the aquarium glass.
Is that a way for them to say they're hungry? or just saying hi?
I mean, even after I feed them, they still do that.
I got them when they're like an inch... and I own them for about 2 months
now.
They're cute!

They're just excitable little guys, and proficient beggers!
They just want to get your attention because they think you'll feed them. Don't fall for that trick though!

If you can, try to avoid them from spotting you. Cover the sides of the tank if you think it will help too. Give them as much time as they need to adjust, though they can still get startled when basking.

My turtles usually thump the tank when they want attention, they like to have their backs scratched and for me to talk to them. Try just talking to them and see if they react.

I agree with that! My Spot reminds me of our dog - and she's pretty smart. Spot makes great eye contact. He loves attention.
