How big are your turtles? How much are you feeding them? How often?

do they get fresh veggies? live feeder fish ever? if all you're feeding them is one pellet each then they are underfed.

You're feeding each of them one pellet? How could it possibly take 5 minutes to eat one pellet?
At two inches of shell length each, feed each of them an amount that would roughly fit into the head if it were empty. Vary with other foods (look at the feeding list).

i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the person selling them to you was either uneducated or selling them for food. i had that same problem when i got mine, i got the care sheet three months before i bought them. they still seemed stressed even though i followed what the lady told me. but then i find this site and discover there's so much more.
it's very rewarding, but you have to invest a lot of time, money and attention to the little ones.

I would also pick up a new container of pellets if you bought them with your turtle.
