I checked Serra's tank today to put in some duckweed ans some redleaf lettuce when I found some foam on the sides and a some in the middle...Is this normal? My dad says its normal for it to have bubbles like this, but I have never seen this foam in any pictures of turtle tanks... The only place where I've seen this is in stagnant pools. I have a waterfall filter that sometimes releases small bubbles. Is this where they are coming from?

Serra doesn't even notice the bubbles...lol

So is there any cause for concern?

I'm not sure, but by any chance did you clean the tank recently? Sometimes when i clean my tank and add a little more water conditioner then i am supposed to, i get alot of bubbles on the surface of the water.

Ohh....I did change the water yesterday and I might have put in too much water conditioner....What do I do to get rid of the bubbles? Or will they slowly disappear?

If the bubbles are caused by the water conditoner then i dont think you can do much, just wait it out i guess.

If you're concerned there is too much conditioner scoop out about 1/4-1/2 water and replace it with fresh water this will neutilize the conditioner.
Then you are good to go.

It could be from the lettuce also. I've noticed those bubbles in my tank too, but mostly when they don't eat the veggies right away.

When I've seen frothy bubbles like that in a tank (usually a smaller tank) and it was shortly after a water change, it was often because the same media had been used for a long period of time and/or the media needed to be cleaned more thoroughly (I don't use any water conditioner/dechlorinator). If you adjust for the water conditioner and the bubbles still appear, try cleaning the filter better.

Yeah, I did a 25% water change and cleaned out the filter...Lots of lettuce stuck in there! Now there's no more bubbles. Thanks!
