I was not sure where to Post this. My Turtle has some kind of White stuff on Him that looks like the kind of Fungus that Fish get when they are Sick. I'm not sure what it is or if it is Harmful? I Washed most of it off of Him but he still has it on His Neck and won't let me Clean it off. It's not on His Shell just on His Neck and legs. I just Cleaned the entire Tank last Week and i am using a Water Conditioner.

It could be just shedding skin. Is it visible when he's dry, or only underwater? If it looks like whitish wispy strands only underwater it's probably totally normal.

Can you post a picture?

I agree with starchick.....if it is long stringy/filmy stuff hanging off his skin, I wouldn't worry. All turtles shed skin to some extent. Also, the amount you feed him & water temp have something to do with it too. If they are overfed & if the water temp is too high, they will shed more. For baby turts (less than a year old) water temp should be roughly 78-80 degrees. If it is over 80 degrees, turn down your water heater. If your turtle is an adult (older, larger than 4"), then the water should be around 76 degrees. 1 degree lower really does make a difference in shedding. So check all that out & let us know what happens! Good luck. :)
