Hi, I'm wondering if Matilda's shell is in healthy shape. As of the last few weeks, a green build up of something has been showing up on her shell. Not sure what it is, there was also that same green stuff on her dock sitting in the cracks which scrubbed off pretty easily. Haven't tried to scrub or clean up her shell yet. Should I? She's in a new tank which probably has something to do with it. Had the new set up for about a month. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all. I still can't figure out pics on this thing, ugh!

i'm betting that the buildup is simply algae. i can't see the picture. but if it's the ame shade as what's on the dock then that's what it is. if u really wanna take it off her shell then take a VERY soft toothbrush and lightly clean it of with some water. it's no big deal.

wow what a beautiful turtle!! i was totally expecting a little munchkin. and yes. just algae. it really isn't a big deal but soft cloth or toothbrush will do the trick. just be very gentle.
