I'm looking to build a baskin area, right above the water level. Using PVC pipe as the base/stands for it, with a plexy glass/acrylic top for him to bask on. Can home depot/lowes bend the plexy glass, or can i? so i can make my own ramp, or should i buy one from somewhere like Dr Foster/Smith? ALso what should i put on top of the plexy glass to make it more natural, so its not all slippery and probably uncomfortable? or should i just leave it?

I bent mine really easily with a blow torch (honestly). Not everyone has access to that i would imagine and im not sure if more conventional flames would work but depending on the size of the piece you want to bend you could try. Also you might be able to get an store employee to bend it for you if they are nice :)

I used both aquarium silicon and large rocks, and adhesive cupboard grip on my turtles basking area. Ill link a pic so you can see how i went about it.

I'm using ceramic tile, but you might want to look into some cork bark, which can work without the PVC.
