I think I have the smallest. It currently has my Reptisun 10.0 (compact uvb) in it. The uvb bulb I have is $23 at
http://www.bigalsonline.com/BigAlsUS/ct ... uvb100lamp
There is another thread somewhere in Urgent Care where people are having problems with this bulb though.
Petco does carry the Reptisun 5.0 but it is double the price. I wish I had kept my packaging because I would exchange mine for the smaller version.
The other uvb lights are florecent tubes which won't work in the clamp lamp. I will take a pic of my set up and post it soon.

If you have a Lowe's or Home Depot near you .. you can get clamp lamps for less than at Petco. You want one that has at minimum 5% UVB. There are others that may be a tiny bit less expensive but they only put out 3% UVB.. really not worth the savings. If it's possible.. I know you said you're 15 but if your parents will let you order online, you can save a lot of money that way. Even with shipping and handling you can save nearly 50% of what you'd pay in a pet store.

It looks that way, I can ask my older brother to order it for me and give him the money, saving is good.... For a clamp lamp, if I buy one, does it have to be just for uvb bulbs or anything? Is the one listed above good?

For this bulb, I won't need a regular one to heat it right?

For shipping a filter, heater, and lamp, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy it at the store? It says sale..i clicked sale and not the online sales so I think it should be the same price in the stores...if not i can order it

ok, for example. If you want to a pet store.. Petsmart etc.. and bought the visi-therm heater. You'd be paying around $35 .. if you purchase it online at either DrsFosterandSmith.com.. or BigAlsOnline.com You'll spend about $15 for the very same heater. S/H is minimal.. even if it's not exactly 1/2 price, it's darn close and still a huge savings.
Look at what Petco regularly sells their Visi-therm heaters for.. and their on sale price. Those sale prices are a bit higher than what the regular prices are at the 2 online sites I mentioned above.

Here is my setup. It's only a 10 gallon starter tank so unfortunately I will have to upgrade almost everything!
The uvb is in the clamp lamp hanging from the tv stand directly over the basking dock.
I had the other lamp on the left already. I have basking bulb in the upper socket and a regular light bulb in the lower that I usually don't have on.

I edited your last post adam .. it helps if you remove the photos when you do a "quote" .. not all users have fast internet and it really slows things down if there are multiple copies of the same photos..

sorry, i didn't know. Anyway, does a bulb that puts out 30% uva and 10% uvb heat the turtles up and provide them with uvb light?
