Habitat - Indoor :: Filtration

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

You will need a filter that is designed for at least 2x the size tank you have. For example, if you have a 20 gallon tank, choose a filter that is designed for at least a 40 gallon. If you have a 50 gallon, get a filter rated for at least 100 gallons, and so on.

Turtles are very messy animals, and without adequate filtering, their health can suffer.

The brand I'm familiar with is the Fluval. I have a fluval 4plus filter in my 40 gallon tank and it does a great job!

Please feel free to post here about other kinds of filters that have worked for you!
