Building outdoor pond...

Found a plastic pond on the side of the road the other day like the rocky kinda from lowes and in the bottom it has just a small crack that you can barley see through and it holds water from the rain, but what is the most efficent stuff to use to make sure it doesnt leak and will be safe for my turtle?

It should be safe for your turtle as long as its not coated with something that is no visible I would give it a brush down with water and mild detergent just make sure all of the mild detergent is washed off..The plastic is fairly thin my concern would be if the liner shifted when underground or during installation then the crack may reopen..I would hope that aquarium silicon would be flexible enough for some minor movement of the liner...

The plastic is pretty thick...and I think I found some marine silicone ill just put it on the outside of pond and as far as shifting its going to be above ground and mouted so it should be pretty safe from moving around. Thanks for your help!

just make sure you let the glue cure for a like a long time

Also, make sure that the silicone is aquatic animal safe!

Yea I did but I was putting it on the outside anyways. But Saturday morning went outside and patio was a little wet and apparently the stuff didnt hold up so had to use a pool liner I had so maybe this will work this time.

ok well about halfway through on this part not the best in the world pond or photo but harry is happy so let me know what you think! Ive got about a total of 80 bucks in it.

I would suggesting getting some lillies or something so that he can hide from potential predators in the area, mainly humans... but dogs and other creatures that might be hanging around would sure like to give him a realy scare. Providing something for him to hide under would be ideal. Lookin pretty good though!
