Hello!

I eat sushi a lot and I was wondering if it would be ok to give my turtle a piece as a treat once in a while (Just the fish, but the rice or anything like that!).

Thanks!

Once and awhile as a treat, I think it would be nice. Your turtle will love you!

She's going to be so happy to hear this! She's gotten so used to me giving her some of my salad when I have it for dinner (which is a few times a week) that now she begs for it the minute she sees a bowl.

I felt so bad today, she was begging for some of my salad... but it was shrimp and spinach, and I don't think spinach is good for turtles so I couldn't give her any. I think she's mad at me now! But hopefully I can woo her back with some sushi tomorrow!

You are right about the spinach. Too bad!

Yes on the Sushi, and as Spotsmama said, your turtle will LOVE you!

I have been known to take home a piece of raw tuna sushi once in a while for Sheba. I swear she darn-near crawls out of her shell trying to get at it! I gotta make sure I get my fingers out of the way...!

Just make sure it is only an occasional treat. It is very high in protein. :)

Mine get pieces of it from time to time, especially around the holidays. :)
