Tomatoes??

Is it good to feed a turtle tomatoe? I have'nt seen any forum here talking about it.

It's ok as a rare treat (less than once a month). It's fine nutritionally, but has high acidity.
Your staple veggies are going to be lettuces (red/green leaf, and romaine), and other greens, if they're available.

Agreed with what Bulldog already said!
My turtle loves tomatos but I only give her a piece every 6 months or so because of the high acidity. Same goes for pineapple.....makes a great "once in a while" treat because of the acidity ("acidity" = super sour)

Hurley goes gaga over tomatoes so it's hard not to want to give him extra, but yeah...once a month or so is fine, and a little bit.

This actually got me thinking - We grow yellow tomatos, and this year white tomatos, which are lower acidity than regular tomatos... I suppose you could give those a bit more frequently.

well my dad works in a factory with veggies so that gives me the advantage because everything is real fresh
