my turtle is really hooked on to veggies but he wont eat apple slices. i fed him some, and he decided to spitt hem out and let the fish eat them. i mixed them with turtle pellets and he actually split them and he aimed for the turtle pellets. he has a pob with his salads he perfers fish and pellets. how can i help get him to eat apple slices?

maybe you can try added some tuna with the apple slices, it could persuade him to eat it & it may taste better

Processed type, only because it has a strong odor that the turtles like so if you put it on the apple slices your turtles would like to eat it.

yep, the process type. i've never given it to my turtle either, but i've read about it on the forums. it could help your turtle to eat the apples

Look for the tuna packed in water, not the kind packed in oil. It shouldn't have any salt added.

Also, DO NOT FEED THE TUNA!! I made the mistake of trying to put the smashed up tuna in the water and it dissipated and made a mess! I highly recommend tuna and salmon IN THE POUCHES. They come with a little liquid, are packed in water, and you can feed chunks to your turtle as a treat.
As to your initial question, why apples? Maybe your turtle just doesn't like apples. Try other fruits and veggies before exhausting apples. I mean, my little turtle is a garbage disposal, but doesn't like tomatoes, squash, apples, or watermelon. So I just don't feed those. He loves lettuce the most, and enjoys grapes, blueberries, and carrots, so I'm not worried.
Try some sweet potato instead of apple?
