This is just a random question because right now I'm getting some Feiry Buffalo Doritos which is one of the hottest chips I ever ate but this question just comes to mind. Can Turtles eat spicy foods like Jalapenos and peppers? I think the turtle can't because peppers became spicy (with evolution) to stop us from eating them.

They probably could. At the very least I'd think they'd take a bite to investigate. I can't imagine it would be any less torcherous than it is for us tho. I'm thinkin they must have taste buds...

I think they got different taste buds then us because we don't think pellets, cuttlebone and live fishes taste good.... at least most of us don't but I don't think turtles like anything that can hurt them while they're eating it.

Yeah but turtles like them for a reason though so I don't know. I would love to feed them jalapenos though because I have a lot of them in my house.

Eh no prob. So anybody think they can eat spice? It's not in their natural habitat and I don't think they'll get any in their habitat but then again what is natural in a tank.

in the wild, turtles will probably eat anything just to survive. test it out and see
