A few months ago I asked if frogs are fine for turtles or toxic, the answers, yah, check it out, why not.well I went to the petstore to buy frogs and the guy there said theyre poisonus to turtles, blah blah blah, but when he showed me this thin film of goo or something and told me thats whatll kill it, he scared me off, my question is was that really poisin, or just slime?

It all depends on what kind of frogs we're talking about here.
If we're talking about poisonous dart frogs then NO, do not feed them to your turtle.In life i've learned to not trust 100% of what ANYBODY tells me, but take it with a grain of salt.If you have doubts, do some research and see what the majority of the answers say.
Personally, i've never fed frogs to my turtles.And besides.....Why do you want to feed frogs to your turtle anyway?

In an rare case the poison would be on the skin ,never in the flesh.But buying frogs in an pet shop is risky because those frogs may not be American native.

You have to understand that slider eat tadpoles and i dont think they could catch an healthy frog easely.Think about slider in the wild,what they have access to.

As for the guy at the petshop,hes not a scientist,neither an turtle specialist,his job is to sell you stuffs and make it look like he know everything about anything.

The advice we gave you in the last thread is still relevant. Again, research the species of frog in question to determine if it is edible or not.
