Bugs can reproduce pretty fast from what I understand, you may have to cull the population to keep the colony from getting out of control. Otherwise, go for it. On a totally unrelated note, your username reminded me of something; there is an 80 proof vodka called "vampyre vodka" which has the color and texture of blood. It's very unique, and quite good by itself for a high content spirit.

Bloodwine is Klingons' favourite beverage! Anyhow, I feed my Res some blatta lateralis (turkistan roaches) from time to time. I have a small colony (about 300-400 roaches) but they reproduce really quickly, esp. if you keep 'em at high temps.
Discoid roaches get way bigger than mine, are you sure they're the best choice for your pets? What kind of gecko do you got?

Not many people figure my name out so +1 for that heh

About my Gecko, it's just a regular leopard gecko... and I havent quite settled on discoids. I'm looking at lobsters, discoids and dubias. Chamces are though that I may end up going with the dubias. Not sure yet... and I know about high temps and insane breeding heh.

Edit: I dont know why my original message seems to have been butchered but I was asking about using them as a treat for my turtle.
