Ok umm my apple snail is doing really really freaky things. First off, something came out of it's shell like an arm and it went up to the top of the water and then came back down. I have no idea what that is.

Also..will this thing eat Michelangelo? I mean seriously, this thing is starting to freak me out. It's got feelers as big as my freaking hand! And Michelangelo is only 1.25 inches!

The thing u saw come out when he was at the top is the way they breath.. Its like there snorkle, Called a siphon. The need open air to breath..

Yep that's what it's been doing, been doing that all night and this morning as well I caught it doing it again. Freaky little buggers. And it's only active when the lights are out, it didn't move not a single inch the whole time I had the basking lights on. Such odd things. Though Michelangelo has now made it a habit to sit on top of the snail now cause he thinks it's a big rock.....
