Hello,
My eight month old yellow bellied slider has not eaten in about two weeks. His water temperature is at around 78 degrees. We have a heater for his tank and a basking area with a light. He used to love to eat but now all of a sudden he has stopped eating everything we try to feed him including feeder fish. Lately he tends to sleep a lot but when he's awake he's happy and swims around like usual. He basks the usual amount of time he always has but he tends to put his head down on the basking platform and sleep. Please give me any advice. Thank you

I'd bump up the water temps. Is he still receiving the same amount of light? What does he normally eat?

He usually eats dried meal worms and dried shrimp. We also usually feed him live feeder fish and live shrimp that he loves but he refuses everything. Yes he is still receiving the same amount of light and I will bump up the water temperature tonight

How big is he now? With that kind of diet, it's possible he's grown too quickly and might have developed health issues as a result.
