Turtle is a begging Pellet Junky
Posted: Sat Jun 28, 2014 4:56 pmMy RES is about 7 years old, I believe she's been on a all pellet diet most of her life, She doesn't look fat, maybe a little plump. I want to feed her lettuce but she never has anything to do with it. She will eat carrots though, How many of them can she have?
She's begging and splashing everyday (it isn't pleasant to hear) for her pellets, and won't bask until she eats.
Can I do the "tough love approach and withhold all food but lettuce? How long is to long? And is this the best way?
She will eat the turtle jello treats, But it has to have quite a bit of tuna in it.
