Feeding Mississippi Map Turtles

Hello,

I am about to adopt a couple of Mississippi Map Turtles. I have been reading on general care and prepping overall for their arrival. I read that in addition to feeding them pellets, you can feed them romaine lettuce and earthworms. I have a small garden where I grow different kinds of lettuce and I also have a worm bin for composting (red wigglers). Is it ok to feed them lettuce and worms from my garden? I do not use chemical pesticides. I do on occasion use neem oil and organic fungicide(serenade).

It should be safe. A few of us have gardens to grow turtle food. Congrats on the adoption!

I own one little cute male and mine is picky. He will only eat carrots, turtle sticks, fresh fish and large krill. You can try different things and see what they like. I want pictures! ;-)
