For those who feed their little buddies outside the tank: At feeding time Do they come to you willingly, or do you have to catch them? :?:

I don't feed my turts outside the tank, but when it is feeding time, they are sticking their heads up just waiting for the food. I would assume my turts would do the same if they knew I was taking them out every time I fed them. Don't know if it helps, just figured I'd give my input. After a while I would think they would come willingly.

When I fed the turtles in the tank, they came when I shook the reptomin container. After I switched over to out of tank feeding, they run away whenever they see me and I have to catch them.

I think that the older they are, the more likely they will come to you during feeding time, and the younger they are, the more likely they will run away.

I hope my turtles will eventually learn I'm just trying to give them some yummy pellets.

I don't feed my turtle at the same time that I feed my fish....and she goes crazy while I'm feeding my fish because she thinks she's next.

When my turtle was little he would run and hide. Now that he's grown, he swims up to me and practically asks to be picked up.
