I am planning on an up grade by next summer. I can't find to many glass aquariums online lager than 55 gallons. I am looking for 65 or larger but not with all the fancy stands and hoods. Got any site or info please fill me in.

You should look into
www.glasscages.com ,they have BIG cheap glass tanks. That is where I got my 240 gallon tank. And depending on where you live in Alabama you might be able to pick it up!!! Which would make it REALLY CHEAP!!! If you can't drive up there, then you have to pay a fee for them to bring it to the closest "drop off point." It was only 150 bucks for my 240 gallon tank, so it should be under $100 if your only getting a 75 gallon tank. And if your made of money, you can set up fright shipping right to your door, but it costs a A LOT OF MONEY!!!

Thanks , found just what i was looking for. now where can a find stands at decent prices (not oak) lol .... I made one for my 40 gallon but can i do the same for a 75 gallon? Can the tank sit on a flat surfice or does the stand need to be frame like?

No, a big tank needs to be completely supported by a flat surface. The tank can't over-hang anywhere, it will cause pressure points, which over time may crack. After you build the stand, you can put down a piece of styrofoam in between the stand, and tank, the weight of the water, and tank will compact it, which will fill in any unevenness, and pressure points.
Good luck!!!

If it is an all wood stand made for a 75 gallon, then sure go for it.

Yup that will work, just keep in mind, if your getting your tank from glasscages.com, there solid oak stand is $195 to $235(depending on how tall you want the stand.).
