I recently got myself a lighting hood that comes with full spectrum flurecent lighting tube, however, outside the box it didn't specify what kind of light that is, anyone know if it's just a decorating light or does it have UVB in it?
Thanks

First of all the light of a fluorescent tube is COLD light. It's good for decorative lightning of a tank, it's good for the flora of a tank but it can't replace the UVA & UVB bulbs for turtles. In a turtle tank with no flora it will most probably just help growing of algae.

I agree with Deezer. You will need to replace that bulb with a ReptiGlo 5.0 or 8.0 UVB tube flourescent or a ZooMed Reptisun 5.0 UVB tube flourescent bulb.
