so does any type of basking bulb provide UVA light for them? i have one, but i didnt know if i had to go buy a separte bulb just for UVA.

Any household bulb or reptile basking bulb provides heat, which is all the uva does. The one you'll have to look harder for is uvb....it provides the rays they need without heat.
