Fluval E heater
Posted: Wed Jan 20, 2010 9:08 pmI received my Fluval E heater from Drs. Foster and Smith yesterday. I got this one to replace my inaccurate, cheap, heater that I've been using for the past year.
Until now, this winter has been a bit TOO warm for Jessica. The heater I was using was heating my 125G of water to nearly 80 degrees even on the lowest setting. I didn't invest enough in that heater to care about a warranty or to make me feel like going through the trouble of contacting the manufacturer, so I went the a company I trust, Fluval.
At first glance the filter is very slick and futuristic looking. The technology is very cool and the built-in temp probe matched up to my own thermometer to within .5 degrees. The heater is very easy to set up, and is completely turtle-proof. I still have my back-up heater, but I haven't seen it come on once since I installed the Fluval heater.
For an extra couple bucks it is most definitely worth it.
