Antibacterial Solution

Hi,
Is there any solutions or liquids that you can add to the water that destroy bacteria or salmonella?.... I live in Japan still and i see a container that says AntiMicrobial...or something bout bacteria..... are there any known American products i can buy from Ebay ?

Turtles can carry salmonella, but there's nothing we should add to the water.
Bacteria sold in bottles for aquariums, is supposedly nitrifying bacteria to kick start the bio filtration and get the tank to cycle quicker. There is much debate and doubt as to how much if any benefit there is to bacteria stored in a bottle for any length of time.
If your filtration is setup properly (see the Filter Media Thread), your system will balance itself. There's nothing we should be adding to the water.

thanks. I guess you are right. I have a Rena Xp4... and use japanese ceramic/carbon media because i cant find any XP4 here in japan, except ordering through online. i just worry because it is verrry hot and humid where i live and my house started getting moldy when im not home for awhile, someone told me its because the water evaporating into the air from my tank.... and i didnt want to be breathing all that evaporating air and get sick.... not sure if this makes sense to anyone..

That definitely makes sense and yes excessive moisture can cause mold. Dehumidifiers and HEPA filters can be used to treat the air you breathe
