Does puriigen leave white particles floating throughout the tank or is that the biomax?

Could be either... but if it's floating then it's probably Purigen (I have not used any yet).

The purigen is little round balls. If you see what look like little styrofoam pellets floating, then that's the purigen and your media bag failed. It's probably the biomax if you didn't rinse it.

I think it is from lack of rinsing the bio media. Also one of my DBT recently started moving less and next to not eating was died Monday. Raising turtles as hatchlings is tough.
