if i have the one tube of the xp3 in the back right corner of the tank, will the turtle dock be able to suction in the same spot? or will the tube interfere too much? i cant try it right now becuase the filter isnt hooked up yet.

Intake or output?

Either way, the filter's intake is nowhere as strong as the Dock's four sucktion cupes, that is for sure.

the one that isnt the spray bar, im not sure if it is in or out. its the straight one, i think it is blueish or something. what i mean is can the dock go in front of it and the suction cups around the tube?

I would say it depends on which tube you are putting in the same corner, and if it's the output one, which output option you go with.

The intake tube goes straight down and doesn't take up much space. The output has a spray bar the angles off to the right, so it wouldn't be able to go in the right corner anyway. I'm not sure if it's reversable or not. The other output option I think goes straight down as well, but I don't use that one, so I can't answer for sure.

I'd say if it was the intake tube, it won't much matter if it is right next to the dock. It floats, the intake is in the water.

missibsu, yes, but the tube is also at the surface of the water too near the dock

I don't see a problem here. If you're really worrying about the dock knocking the intake tube out, then just place it 1-2 cm farther away. My dock is right next to my intake, and no problems, it's 2 cm away.

i see a problem. let me quote it
the tube is also at the surface of the water too near the dock
If you mean the strainer, then your in for a load of problems. You need to have the strainer about 4" from the bottom of the tank, if not you wont be able to fill the canaster with water and you'll burn the motor out.

I think it was a reference to wear the tube enters the water...It won't fit behind the dock (like between the dock and the tank wall), but you can put it right down at the end of the dock on either side.

It's all good, I misread things all the time...and it's usually a far worse misunderstanding, lol.

It doesn't have to be---the recommendation is for a fish tank. It's probably better no to be higher than that, though.
