Yep those are bloodworms(midge larvae) there nothing to worry about there actually helping to clean the filter. There just eating the waste and helping to break it down.

Very nice! I'm actaully looking at building a pond for one of my RES right now. What size pump do you have that is pumping the water into the 5g bucket?

The Pump is 600GPH. It came with the pond.

Such a cool pond.

I think it's awesome someone as young as you, is so into a project like this. A lot better than that drug, gang, theft and other crap teens get dragged into.

yup definelty a bloodworm...but its ok they help by eating all the waste and helping it break down.

i catch them in my backyard and my turts lov it!
