Habitat - Outdoor :: Future outside pond

Hi everyone!

I have a slider who is four years old. Next year I might move to a house with an outdoor area and I would like to build a pond. Can you recommend any books, websites... with information on the subject?

Probably the best thing to do is check with the local reptile/herp group and see what they do. If this new location has freezing winters and/or very warm summers, you are looking at a much deeper pond. You'll need to consider some barriers to provide protection and prevent escape. And with a pond filter, you'll need to add some protection around the intake. The rest is up to your imagination!
