In my last post I gave a update of Toku and the guppies that gave birth to 7 fry. Well this morning I woke up and counted 11 new fry in the tank. This brings the total up to 18 fry in the matter of days. Before this breeding session there was 8 males and 5 females in the tank. well now there is over 30 guppies in the tank:) They have breed several generations now to give some very unique colors. Here are some pics of the Guppies, and of course Toku spots me and takes over the photo shoot lol;)
Guppy Fry;
Two juvenile guppies from last weeks group;
Now several different colors, sorry they are so blurry;
how do you do it...when my guppies are preggo and i think they have gave birth before but i never see any...i have like 5 minnows and like 10 guppies and my baby turts how can i get them to breed sucsefully
I have a ton of nook and crannies in the driftwoods for the babies to go in and the tank is 150 gals. This allows plenty of room for the adult guppies to evade Toku when needed. Plus, I have about 30 fish total in the tank mostly guppies, 4 minnows, 4 bala sharks, and 2 algae eaters. So basically, you need hiding places, fast fish and plenty of room;)
No Steve, just some fancies I got over a year ago. A few different colors that keep mixing and making new colors then they mix again for new colors, so on and so on.... The population stayed around 15 when the 40 gal ways setup but now with more space the population has already doubled. I expect more before the end of summer. And, hopefully more color variations too;)
